This is where it all started. John and I are up front and the back row is John's brother Jake, my sister Vanessa, and our neighbor and friend Andy. This picture was taken after we all pretty much just met and spent the night hanging out. John came over and never went home. We started dating about two months later on the 4th of July of 2005 and got married 5 years after that on the 4th of July of 2010. It has been a wild 10+ years together, but we love the adventure and craziness life throws at us. We have always been truth seekers, so it was just a matter of time before we wound up where were are now....which is vegan, camper living, antivax, freebirth, unschooling, pro breastfeeding, flat earth, anarchist, ap parents of our beautiful, vegan daughter Ulma. It took a ton of research and questioning everything we have ever known, but we are glad we are on this path. We went from eating a Standard American Diet, having all kinds of health problems, and infertility, to where we are now with our happy, healthy, traveling family. I will go into more detail about why and how we went vegan in another post. It was a challenging process, but it was well worth it.
